SoNE HEALTH is committed to ongoing advocacy on both the state and federal levels to protect the interests of our network members and patients. It is becoming ever more critical to advocate for independent providers to ensure healthcare policies are patient-centric, promote access to high-quality care and to protect the vital physician/patient relationship. Below are some advocacy initiatives:
February 26, 2025: Lisa Trumble, provided testimony to the Public Health Committee in support of House Bill 6979: An act concerning the Department of Public Health’s Recommendations Regarding Physician Recruitment. Read Lisa’s full testimony here.
March 5, 2025: SoNE HEALTH President and CEO, Lisa Trumble, provided testimony to the Insurance and Real Estate Committee regarding SB10: An Act Concerning Health Insurance and Patient Protection. With an eye toward our network and providers her testimony speaks to the bill section by section, advocating for rewording (i.e. inclusion of the definition of a clinically integrated network) and reconsiderations to better support you and your interests. May 29, 2025: SoNE HEALTH signed the Advanced APM Incentive Stakeholder Letter sent to U.S. Congressional leaders. Signed by more than 20 physicians and health care associations, as well as 550+ accountable care organizations (ACOs), health systems, hospitals, physician practices, health clinics, and accountable care stakeholders calls for continued congressional support/investment in Medicare’s transition to advanced APMs that take on accountability for costs and outcomes of their patient populations.
