Renee Broadbent joined SoNE HEALTH as Vice President of Information Technology in January of 2021, later assuming the role of Chief Information Officer in 2022. Renee leads SoNE’s data and technology strategy, and oversees data security for the organization.
Renee is a senior-level healthcare executive with extensive background in strategic planning, information technology, population health management and data security. She has held the role of Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer in both hospital health systems and Managed Care Organizations (MCO).
Prior to joining SoNE HEALTH, Renee served as Senior Manager at Wolf & Company, P.C. and as AVP of Population Health Information Technology and Strategy at UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester, Massachusetts. During her time at UMass Memorial, she was a member of the leadership team that realized $22 million in savings for the Accountable Care Organization. Under her leadership, Renee led the data and analytics team to help UMass Memorial Health Care achieve HIMSS Stage 7 Analytics for both inpatient and outpatient, only 2% of health systems in country achieve this honor.
Renee participates on several advisory committees, including serving as Co-Chairwoman for the Operational Advisory Committee for Connie, the Connecticut State Health Information Exchange. She is active in New England HIMSS, serving as the organization’s Executive Board Secretary and also as a presenter.
Renee is a certified HITRUST Assessor and Adjunct Professor at Southern New Hampshire University. Additionally, Renee is an accomplished author whose writings have been published in various healthcare-related journals and periodicals.
