SoNE HEALTH Generates Nearly $13M in Savings for CMS
WINDSOR, CONN. – November 25, 2024 – The SoNE HEALTH ACO, LLC generated total savings for CMS of $12.9M based on the unembargoed ACO performance results released by CMS on October 29, 2024.
According to the CMS.gov website, “Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) are groups of doctors, hospitals, and other health care providers, who come together voluntarily to give coordinated, high-quality care to the Medicare patients they serve. Coordinated care helps ensure that patients, especially the chronically ill, get the right care at the right time, with the goal of avoiding unnecessary duplication of services and preventing medical errors. When an ACO succeeds in delivering high-quality care and spending health care dollars more wisely, it will share in the savings it achieves for the Medicare program.”
SoNE HEALTH ACO comprises community-based, independent physicians working together toward a common goal: to provide high-quality care while simultaneously managing the total cost of care. Based on the CMS 2023 unembargoed ACO performance results, the SoNE HEALTH ACO generated $12.9M in savings for CMS and earned $9.5M of these savings. SoNE HEALTH ACO was one of four local ACOs in Connecticut to generate and earn shared savings for CMS. SoNE HEALTH has a consistently strong performance history, cumulatively earning shared savings totaling $39M since 2020.
“Accountable Care Organizations, such as SoNE HEALTH ACO, play a critical role in helping to rein in rising healthcare costs.
